Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on the finbear.it website, and how you can manage your preferences. The controller is [Owner — to be defined] (see the Privacy Policy for details on data processing).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device while you browse, to make the site work, remember your choices or collect statistical information. There are "technical" cookies (necessary for operation) and "non-technical" cookies (analytics and third-party), which require your consent.
2. Technical cookies (necessary)
These are essential for the site to work and do not require consent. They are used, for example, to keep your session after login, remember your chosen language (Italian/English), manage access to members' areas and store your cookie preferences.
3. Analytics cookies
They help us understand how the site is used (most-visited pages, time on page) in aggregate form, in order to improve it. They are activated only with your consent through the banner.
4. Third-party cookies
Some pages may include third-party content or features (for example videos or social elements) that set their own cookies. These are governed by the respective providers' policies and are activated only with your consent.
5. List of cookies
Below are the cookies actually used on the site, grouped by category. Technical cookies do not require consent; statistics and third-party cookies are activated only after your consent through the banner.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | Technical (necessary) | Keeps you logged into the members' area | Session (14 days with "Remember me") |
| wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* | Technical | Stores display preferences for registered users | 1 year |
| pll_language | Technical | Remembers the chosen language (Italian/English) | 1 year |
| cmplz_* (consent) | Technical | Stores your cookie choices | 365 days |
| comment_author_*, comment_author_email_*, comment_author_url_* | Technical | Remembers your details when you leave a comment | 1 year |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Technical | Checks that the browser accepts cookies | Session |
| _ga, _ga_KQB7Q7JMMP | Statistics — Google Analytics | Distinguishes users to measure site usage | 2 years |
| _gid | Statistics — Google Analytics | Distinguishes users | 24 hours |
| VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA | Third-party — YouTube | Playback of embedded videos | Session to 6 months |
| Meta cookies (Instagram, Facebook) | Third-party — Meta | Display of embedded social content | Variable |
For traffic statistics we also use SlimStat in anonymous mode: it sets no cookies and does not store identifiable IP addresses, so it does not require consent.
6. How to manage consent
On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category the non-technical cookies. You can change your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings; however, if you disable technical cookies, some site features may not be available.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy; the current version is always published on this page.
